From the score, I guess I totally lost out on the two second rule ( the time it a takes to wow the voter). But I am extremely pleased with the comments the image generated. . . especially the ones that pondered the significance of all the elements in the image. After all, it was a murder mystery! I tried to provide all the evidence I could.
Thank you so much for your response to my entry, "Can you hear me know?". If you read the book, went to the play, or watched the movie, "Arsenic and Old Lace," the entry may make more sense to you. . . especially if you think of the Verizon guy as one of the victims! In the story two little old ladies off their suitors with a mixture of Elderberry wine, arsenic, strychnine ("just a pinch, My Dear") and cyanide. In reality, besides pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides, crystal, your cell phone and computers all have traces of arsenic in them. Instead of an Elderberry wine label facing forward, I turned it so that the Government warning was evident. However, it lost its sharpness and readability when I reduced the image for the web. I wondered how the old ladies would handle the Verizon guy in the commercial of which I really got very tired. Thus, the image. I realize it maybe was a stretch, but I thought it was perfect to the challenge. Again, thanks for your attention. I was very disappointed in the score but very, very pleased by all the comments it generated.
BTW: I guess arsenic is illegal to own in quantities. (Gee, I wonder why.) The image in the phone is the only known one of any quantity of it. |

You should get this week's prize for highest ratio of quality and creativity to appreciation. Unfortunately there is no such prize.
Here's one to be going on with :)

What element were you going for? Good light and a nice sharp picture. |

You might have to connect the dots for me here. Is the glass lead crystal? Is the lead blocking the cell phone signal? I'm confused. Nice job on the lighting. |

This is a great idea for the challenge. Maybe just a little less doily would make the other components stand out better? |

I don't want to have to think too hard to figure out what this element is supposed to be. Extremely vague. |

It took me a minute or two to catch on to this, but I'm glad I took a minute with it because I think the idea is very clever. |

OK another guessing game regarding how this fits into the challenge...We have a phone, a wine bottle, a lead crystal goblet. Hmmm. Arsnic is on the screen of the phone. I guess that is the element. Boy I had to work hard to "get" this one.
Outside of the point being difficult to understand, it is well lit, and the focus is good, colors are spot on. |

LOL....there are some days when that's what I want to do...only I'd use the toilet. This was a nicer and more pleasing scene! *wink* Very nicely photographed too. |

On my first pass through the images, I didn't catch the cleverness and humor. On a review, this is pretty good.... especially the old lace. I get it! Wish the cell phone display was more luminous, but it fits into the murder mystery subtlety you've chosen. (9) |

Cute idea, and I hope everyone sees it. The image ?? maybe a dead body would have carried it better |

Is that you, Mortimer? Are you the son of a sea-cook? Love it. The humor will be lost on some, though, I'm afraid. As far as illustrating the element...yeah, it's pretty good. |
