Cabin on the Lakeby jab119Comment: Looks like some of the focus was lost due to some movement, or wide aperture and the bottom is not in the focal plane. Seems like probably the latter though since the top is very sharp. |

Skiing into the nightby heidaComment: great concept and I love the diagonal horizon. The skiers look like they need to be just a little closer and the skier on the left would be more better if he were in a more skiing like position. The idea is awesome though. 7 |

Café Parisienby lancelotComment: In my opinion, this photo needs to go somewhere. It looks like a great backdrop but the subject or subjects went to the bathroom while you got the camera out. |

Moonlight Mosqueby pitsamanComment: This looks like a lot of noise and banding in the sky on this one. That or the sky is suffering from some overprocessing. Colors are interesting in the sky. I think this might be a little overexposed for my tastes tho. |

A Mother's Grief, A Daughter's Comfort.by drgsoellComment: Nice work with this one. The mom looks like she's blurry a bit around the head but the rest of her looks pretty good. Excellent idea and pretty well done. I love long exposure shots myself. 8 |

Rush Hourby marboComment: Gorgeous. For the record, it just isn't fair that I can't live somwhere where I can take this kind of shot. This is great. I think top 10 - 9 |

Nocturnal lightsby vadviragComment: Star filters are always fun. I've used them in several challenge shots. I think in this shot they are meant to be the focal point, and they just dominate the image. I'd rather see them as an accent instead of the subject. I think the stars need to be greatly diminished so that you could expose this picture more without the stars overpowering the image even more. |

Dancing Swanby Everyday ReneeComment: This subject in no way conveys to me anything about dark. It seems lit too much to really imply anything about darkness either. The texture of the petals is pretty good, but overall I don't think this relates to the challenge as well as it should. |

Just Before. . .by ShelleyComment: Nicely framed sunset. The monochromatic sky is something I usually don't like, but I think its kinda neat when its sandwiched between these 2 rock forms 8 |

Night Saguaroby PDavisComment: This is just a little bit soft. I think I'm missing the point of the composition. |
