focus seems off, and a lot of detail in the stonework has been lost because of it. Also, I think a tighter crop on the left would help to improve the image.

Nowhere does the challenge description state that the photo has to be a year (era) other than the current one. I do hope that it is not voted down because of that.
What a bunch of characters! I especially like the kid on the far right. The stance and his expression are just great! I really like this image. bumped to 9

Fits the challenge perfectly and it made me laugh. Not a big fan of the tinting tho, but still.... creative!, interesting!, and a break from all the other "before time" landscapes and such. The most unique entry I've seen so far. 9

It took a half second for me to "get" what I was seeing here. Then I saw the wreath and shape of the balcony, and then the title. It was like a light bulb went on over my head! Great Image! The title is not needed to imply the subject of the image, but yet is confirmation of it. Again, a great, and moving, image; one of very few in this challenge. 10
