This is really great...so vernacular...ya don't even need the year to get the era this image conjures...the cars, the motel...this really hits the mark...super entry.

How can I evaluate your shot to the year you are trying to capture if you don't put it in the title as outlined in the challenge description?

you should change and enlarge your zoom to take more the cars complete and not all the bulding perspective.

Now this is a "Time Capsule" photograph. What a moment in time! Anyone who knows what this picture is of, knows that we lost a great man that day. I've always wanted to visit this place. My only suggestion to make this picture timeless would be to make it black and white. I know plenty of people that would love to purchase a print of this picture.

April 4th when? 1970? 1980? It has the right elements, but there's no way to ground it to a certain date (at least for those of us who were born well after the era!)

I recognized the motel and the date that Martin Luther King was shot. I wonder how many DPCers can identify the date with the picture. This picture meets the challenge. As a side note, my brother was also killed on April 4, 1944 in World War ll.

I wish the 70's model Cadillac weren't in the shot. cause the architecture and the other car are VERY 50's. Nicely shot thought. Good perspective and use of angles.

...and what would be the year? Not a bad snapshot photo depicting an era in time.

It took a half second for me to "get" what I was seeing here. Then I saw the wreath and shape of the balcony, and then the title. It was like a light bulb went on over my head! Great Image! The title is not needed to imply the subject of the image, but yet is confirmation of it. Again, a great, and moving, image; one of very few in this challenge. 10

Sorry for being thick, but I don't know what April 4 is? The shot is nice and makes me think of the 60s.

The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. May He rest in peace. Excellent twist on giving this a date. (Bonus point) Great natural coloring without blowing out the whites. 8
