When the Skull strikes you'll Scream! by alexlkyComment: Not a bad idea and the execution is not entirely poor, there is something about the blurriness of the pixels (maybe from a weird filter you used) that make the image seem extremely poor in quality. I would have also enjoyed this photo more if you worked the clouds sort of into the face of the skull making the sky itself a skull rather than just an opaque overlay thought thats a ton more work, not bad. |

..after the store closes, the ghost family goes shopping....by larushkaComment: So this is where ghosts buy those sheets they hide under. An interesting photo and store, Id've upped the mid tones in PP a little bit to better make out a few details but the tones and lighting are pretty cool. A little stretch to meet the challenge (unless i'm not seeing some ghost in the bottom aside from the cowboy manican thing) |

midnight hitchhikerby mrchhasComment: a very cool photo, I was tempted to try something like this when I first saw the challenge and i'm glad someone did. These roadside ghost stories are always freaky. It's a weird balance between a realistic snapshot of a ghostly event and a pleasantly beautiful expert edited photo (the clouds and moon contrasting the overall blurriness of the image)
I would have gone one way or the other but the nice moon and clouds may land you some higher votes with people not into the blurry ghost creepy image stuff. While the photo is technically not excellent, it gives the impression that the passenger scrambled for their camera and grabbed this shot at the last minute......THEN THEY WERE NEVER SEEN OR HEARD FROM AGAIN DUN DUN DUN. |

boarding the 2012 busby cutoutComment: An interesting image, I enjoy the off white colours and patterns as well as the textures. It makes for a nice abstract shot. The little streaks and dashes across it are almost like cuts or wounds on the image. I THINK i see a little face on the vertical line on the right in the centre of the image. Is it all a negative? I can sort of make out a woman boarding the bus, it's interesting to try to look for things but it's a stretch to meet the challenge. It may be because I am unfamiliar with any stories about a 2012 bus relating to ghosts, hopefully nothing bad has happened. |

the flying dutchman by mrbig65Comment: title makes the pic work, the over exposedness isn't too bad in the ghost situation either. that little speck of dirt to the right is super distracting and ruining the shot, in an expert editing challenge it would be no problem to clone that out. The little bit of land ads a bit of substance to the photo but it still lacks a narrative, It may have been more successful if the boat was just floating in a white abyss in a ghostly realm or something, as is the photo looks a lot like just an overexposed boat on a lake, but I see what you were going for. |

The Ghost is mustering the army in Saint Patrick's wellby Alex_PetriniComment: Great composition and interesting image, The background is dark and works nicely but I'd like to know what those square things are, I don't really know anything about saint patrick's well. cool pic though, it's as if the ghost is re-living it's death and falling into the well over and over. |

'neath sullen waters...by KelliComment: I looked and looked and looked, I had to google your title for more insight, if it's about the story I'm thinking, the buggy wasn't a shopping buggy but a horse drawn one. I just don't think this meets the challenge.
Photographically, I think the innerglow-frame is a little too much and it is too tightly cropped without symmetry, if you choose not to follow the rule of thirds I would recommend centring it a little more, there is a big gap from the shopping buggy to the right of the frame compared to the left side.
The shadow and angle and lines it creates are interesting, but the fence at the top is weirdly distracting adding a hole bunch more lines that don't have anything to do with the photo.
I'm sorry to say it but I find this a little bit plain and uninteresting and it doesn't really meet the challenge too much,
It is almost creepy in the way some of the photos of basements where something might be lurking would be but it's just not there. |

Ectoplazmic Seaby pixelpigComment: A very cool, very abstract whirl of spirits. The tones are smooth and nice and the touch of noise works nicely in this. If I ever got sucked into a tv like on poltergeist, I imagine this is very much what it would result in. |

Wilhelmby rooumComment: Hah, great title, there is a will helm scream app I have on my phone so it screams if I drop it.
The photo really doesn't tickle my fancy but I think I see the whole "ghost hunters" esque real ghost photo style you were trying to capture. It is a creepy photo no doubt. I just don't see it competing in an expert editing challenge.
Good luck though! Hopefully you'll find a few people who are into this niche of creepiness. |

Untitledby MinsoPhotoComment: Are you suffering from psoriasis? The leading dermatologists recommend you tear your skin open and let out the ghosts underneath it, it's a leading cure to psoriasis. now back to your paid programming.
And interesting photo, the only thing I don't dig is the cracked texture being the same on the person as the background, I would've made the two a little more different and done a bit of neat image or noise reduction on the spirit faces. Otherwise a cool pic. |
