day afterby cutoutComment: This image doesn't scream Cinco de Mayo (or Mexican Culture) to me but the more I look at it the more I like it. I see a face, a girl dancing and that is enough for me, well done. |

Cheers!by hajekaComment: Well done product shot. Only real critique I have is I would have liked to seen the background blown out to a complete white instead of the light gray. |

Salted Rimsby giantmikeComment: Love the angle, colors, and DOF on this. Not finding anything here to really critique. Nice shot. |

Mariachis by franktheyankComment: I would have preferred a higher camera angle but I am guessing they were on stage so that was probably not really possible. The background is a bit distracting so a lower depth of field could have helped there. I think the conversion to black and white was a good choice. 7 |

Time to Fire Up! by StagoleeComment: Nice colors and lighting. Perhaps just a bit more light at the top to better define the bottle. |

"The Dance"by LydiaComment: You needed a bigger depth of field here to keep the entire puppet in focus. I also would have cropped out the hand. |

Celebrationby sfaliceComment: A great scene. You pushed the saturation a bit too far for my taste though. |

Cinco de Mayaby tryingtostayinfocusComment: Some good and some not so here IMO. The good... well exposed, focus is near eye as it should be, and I like the fall off from the depth of field.
The not so good... I am not a fan of having the camera above subject for portraiture. Also the lighting is too harsh as you have hard shadows created by the nose and dress. Diffusing the light and using a reflector on camera right would have helped with the nose shadow. Shooting from a lower angle would have eliminated the dress shadow. |
