Hmmm this is surely one of the best of the ones that will be deemed DNMC. The bottom half is definitely minimal. I think some may feel the big mountian/hill in the back is too big for minimal.

I think the mountain is dark enough to just about cancel out its "largeness"

I wonder if the sky was completely removed by cropping would have made the mountain seem even more "minimal" than it already is.

I'll go ahead and give this an 8.

About half way done and this is the best. Surely the best of the ones that will be deemed "not minimal". The way you made the mountains "minimal is really good. I also like the hint of star trails.
