 I suspect some people will think it is not minimal enough but I like it. Hopefully 5.5+

WOW!! 7.14 at 100, totally unexpected!


Thanks for your comments and votes!! I am absolutely amazed to get 3 ribbons in 4 weeks! And a bluey! WOW!! I did not think this image could win! And there were so many great images to choose from.

PS I just wish I could finally get an image into 1x to complete this terrific run!

PS2 I should also thank the weather we have been having - frost and fog so often. It has been unreal. I hope I can capture sun rays through the fog this winter too. They are my favorite.

This is such a spectacularly subtle image (and I think we know whose it is) that I feel like crying seeing the ruthless black lines killing it! It frustrates me deeply. It would have been a 9+ but I lower it to 6 7 upon looking at it several more times. And as of the last look, I wish the mountain would be a touch paler to allow for the layers of air. Nice images get more and sometimes harsher comments!

Beautiful shot. Love the contrast between the valley and the mountain, you could split the picture in half and still have 2 great images!

I love this... the only thing that catches my eyes and keeps me from scoring it higher is what appears to be an error in editing...along the top of the mountain ridge there is a halo effect that is more noticeable then the rest of the image. Still an 8 from me, beautiful shot

Hmmm this is surely one of the best of the ones that will be deemed DNMC. The bottom half is definitely minimal. I think some may feel the big mountian/hill in the back is too big for minimal.

I think the mountain is dark enough to just about cancel out its "largeness"

I wonder if the sky was completely removed by cropping would have made the mountain seem even more "minimal" than it already is.

I'll go ahead and give this an 8.

Nice shot. I guess I should try gettin' up earlier for scenery like this! Just wondering, do I see a grad. neutral density filter on the upper half of the image?
