As some of you guessed, this is Etretat, France. I am very happy of the result, given the technical difficulties I encountered to shoot it: rain and strong horizontal wind made it very hard for a long exposure to succeed. The ND filter was very quickly full of droplets, despite the lens hood. I ended up using a long large cone, made out of a plastic bag, to protect the front of the lens from rain. Even then, if wasn't easy to hold it in place during 30 seconds without it moving too much due to the wind. Finally, it kinda worked, and I was able to grab a few usable shots. But the 5D, my wife and I were all wet to the bone. Clearly, lack of preparation if you ask me!

We have a similar looking sight in Quebec, Canada, in the Gaspésie region. It's called Rocher Percé.

Unmistakably Etretat! The arch looking as if it's made of papier mache newspapers, almost weightless and barely casting a shadow. Beautiful.

Almost wish there was more of the rock formation in the image. Other than that though I love the way that there is no horizon line which makes my eye wonder more. Well done.
