I like the way the sun is reflecting off the umbrella giving a little dimension to the silhouette. The sky and water are both a little grey, which may be accurate of the scene, but doesn't have a lot of impact. Also, there is an odd little blotch in the sky to the right of the subject's face. I used to get those in my skies with my old camera. Very annoying. I never figured out the source. Anyway, nice image. - 7

I don't like the lighting or the focus in this shot. It would be better if you could have kept the full roll on the left in the frame. Also, there is a white border down the left side that doesn't look like it belongs there.

Branches

The exposure on this one is off. The sky is over exposed, but the detail is still lost in the shadows of the tree. It is not completely silhouetted, but yet the texture is not clear either. Also, all the other trees around detract from the "shape" of this one.

I like the graphic form on this one, but it looks like it crosses the border from photography to digital art. It is a beautiful image, but I wouldn't call it a great photograph.

How early are they teaching trig these days? She looks so young. Nice concept. I'm not sure the black and white adds anything to this image.

Sphere of Happiness

I wish your sphere was a little more prominent in this shot. It is not clear what it is (a coconut perhaps?) or why it makes the holder so happy. (Great expression though.) Also the coloring is a little drab.

Interesting idea. The composition is okay, but I would likk to see the glass bulb more clearly, perhaps with less reflection from all the overhead lighting.

Lonely Drinker

Overall, the lighting is good. I like the silhouette holding the glass. I find the bright rectangle to the right very distracting as it keeps pulling me away from the drinker. It is also the strongest "shape" in the image but does not appear to be the primary focus.

The colors are beautiful, but it is color and not shape that dominates this image. Also, there is no strong point of focus.
