7 - I do like this, and/but(?) the title carries a certain amount of 'weight' here in my opinion, primarily in regard to the fact I may not have picked up on the 'paw prints' without your title, but I do like the title and am not implying you are 'forcing it'. Criticism; I would like to see more 'context', it is difficult in my opinion to discern the 'top' and 'right' part of this shot, ie: 'real' or 'reflection', which I would like to have 'realized'. The shot is kind of 'abstract' though in an unusual (and good) way. Colors are nice.

Good shot, angle, colors and texture capture. Looks like a dove(?).

6 - Nice colors. Criticism; I like that you didn't flip it, but 'somehow' incorporating the 'real', even a little at the top, may have made this even better in my opinion, though you would lose the 'abstract' kind of 'feel' it seems you have gone for. The rock(?), even though barely discernible, is a nice subtle texture and pseudo frame for the 'reflection'.

5 - I like this mostly for the potential. Criticism; knowing the brilliant color of these trees, I wish you had been able to capture more of it in this reflection, perhaps the time of day/sunlight may have helped, not sure. Also, especially given the beauty of these trees, I would like to have seen this particular tree incorporated if possible, along with the reflection, and hence, the reflection not 'flipped', which it seems you have done, apologies if I am wrong.

7 - Like this. Criticism; wish the seagulls 'popped' out more, somehow. Colors are nice, but perhaps a slightly tighter crop may have made this better, not sure.

7 - I do like this but, Criticism; the frame detracts from the colors and 'feel' of the shot in my opinion. Also, if possible, the shot this size (without frame), would be much better and have more impact.

7 - Like this and 'different'. Good colors. Criticism; not much, perhaps a slight rotate and different crop, excluding the wheel and white panelling far right, may have made this better in my opinion. edit:typo

7 - Mainly for the concept and effort. Criticism; sharper focus on 'one or the other'. In this kind of 'illusion', I think extreme attention to detail is required, from finger positioning to 'foam placement', etc. The tiled background seems to give a slightly 'uneven' appearance to the 'mirrored reflection', therefore in my opinion, may be detracting from the potential here. Angle also needs fine tuning, but a good effort overall, I just think that with further 'time' and detail, this could have been even better. Lastly, I think given the 'concept' and title, somehow 'revealing' the 'face of the son' a fraction more, is required, as at a quick glance, it is not easily discernible as a 'son/father'. edit:typo & sorry to see so many 1's. edit2:in retrospect, this really didn't 'meet the Challenge' (not a reflective surface), I guess your 'illusion' impressed me enough I 'forgot' that aspect of the Challenge (yet another reason I'd like to see the description on each voting page), had I not, would have been a 2/3/4, again for your efforts. Like to see this in the next 'illusions' type Challenge. Perhaps those 1's were 'not reflective surface DMC's' and not just 'this is a mirror DMC's'.

8 - Very nice colors. Criticism; wish the focus were more on the reflection here even though the geese(?) make a wonderful sight, for the Challenge, (and with calmer waters), their reflections would have been 'special'. Difficult shot I imagine trying to incorporate 'all', while still getting those 'flying geese'.

Dragonfly Reflections

Comment:
8 - Nice and different. Criticism; I can't quite discern if your focus is on the dragonfly reflection or on the 'real', but seems a sharp reflection so well done if that is where your focus was. Maybe a different crop and a play with the coloring, may have made this a better shot in my opinion. I like the way the 'branch'(?) has a warped reflection yet the dragonfly retains perspective.
