5 - I like the idea for the Challenge, but for me, a shot of this put into a time capsule to depict the era 'for future generations' wouldn't quite encapsulate it, in my opinion. If my presumption is correct, you were going for the 'Madonna thing', and the glove is fairly authentic to that. Criticism; I would like to have seen more of the hand (if not a whole 'outfit'/fashion depiction). The bangles are not 'apt' in my opinion and the nail polish, not sure. The photo itself seems to be nice and 'clean' with a good 'base background', just doesn't quite 'sell me' on the authenticity of this 'era', just my opinion. Original though.

6 (up from 5) - I think you have a good capture here of this 'era', a shot of this into a time capsule would depict the era/historical aspect for future generations. I don't think the 'AD' was necessary but that is just my opinion. Criticism; whilst I think you have captured a certain amount of 'tension' and 'drama' here, I would like to see that emphasized somehow. The colors are nice and bold, especially against the clear blue sky, so depending of course if you were able to incorporate more into the frame, maybe more sky, or full length 'toy soldiers' (that's what they look like to me), would have made this a better shot in my opinion.

'8' - Great rain shot for the Challenge. Criticism; whilst I do like the colors, I wonder if it would have packed more punch in b/w, especially seeing as you have so much definition in the water and splashes. Not sure about the black frame. Actually on a closer look, perhaps you have desaturated somewhat, can't discern 'green'. Good shot though. Maybe, just for added 'touch' and character, if the girl in blue had a blue umbrella might have created a really unique shot.

'7' - Very nice 'soft rain' shot for the Challenge. Really like the look of that lily. Criticism; considering the Challenge, I would like to have seen a 'larger' photo if possible, showing more 'drops'. The color is nice and I don't know if you softened a little, but even though I said I like the lily, with the rain the main 'focal point' (for me in my opinion re the Challenge) I would like to see more definition, so possibly a sharpening, or just to contradict myself, a 'blurring/softening' could have worked too. Just also trying to get more 'symmetry/composition' with the placement of the pads within the frame would have made this a better shot in my opinion.

'4' (if I was voting as it 'DMC' for me, but it is only pretend and fyi so matters not) This is a beautiful shot, but for me isn't capturing 'rain'. But I hope you understand what I am saying and also that I am going to add it to my favorites for inspiration. Beautiful coloring, texture and drop formation. Just a shame there is no 'rain' for this Challenge.

'6' - Fairly good capture of the rain for the Challenge. Criticism; for me, a totally different crop and focus here would have made this a real abstract type of shot. Perhaps, losing the car altogether, gaining a slightly different angle to get the curve of the path, and the gutter at the top of frame. I just see potential here for a kind of 'abstract' type of shot using the two contrasting colors and the seemingly 'pouring rain'. Just my 'viewpoint' and 'opinion'. edit:typos & clarification

'6' - Nice shot for the Challenge. The b/w works well. Criticism; I would like to see more 'blur' but you'd likely lose the rain more. Something to bring out the rain drops more than the fence and 'passer by' (somehow, no idea how) would make this shot have more impact (specially for the Challenge) in my opinion. Maybe an 'unusual' cropping somehow, not sure.

'8' (only pretend and fyi) - Wow - but is this rain? Challengewise if I were voting, I would 'pass' it as rain even just for the 'illusion' or 'emulation' (IF not rain) - it is almost like a macro of a 'heavy' rain 'drop'. I have never seen a water droplet (or whatever the correct term is) shot like this. The coloring, and indeed effect within the 'drop' (including the 'stem') is incredible. The 'sparkle' on the edge too... wow, but my cynicism just will not let me believe this is an actual raindrop captured naturally outdoors....if you have, I will be speechless. Great shot, but Challengewise, well, will wait and see what it is when the Challenge is over. Amazing shot at any rate, very nice. Criticism; wish it were at least 640 in height, and possibly in width. Perhaps that top right 'parted' droplet out of frame, maybe might have made this even better, not sure. Adding to favorites for inspiration. edit:typos

'7' (only pretend and fyi) - I like this shot but, criticism; would really like to have seen how this would have looked in b/w or, just some type of desaturation, trying to keep the 'water' well contrasted. The seat/swing has character and I would like to have seen you 'use' that more, in my opinion that, and possibly more 'water capture' would have made this a better and more dramatic shot in my opinion.

'8' - Very nice shot, color is superb. Criticism; even though I have said the color is superb, I would like to see it even more 'azure' - somehow. One way might just to have been (if possible) to get the full 640 x 640 here. I know you may well have preferred this 'framing', but just my opinion, I would like to see it really 'full', especially as it would allow more of those 'droplets' to 'play' and draw the eye to them. Not sure if it is a pool or what, or even natural rain, but looks erratic enough to convince me it is.
