Eye See Youby scottmattinglyComment: I think that the lighting conditions under which you were shooting haven't done you any favours here... the area around the eye, which is in focus and so should be the centre of attention, is very dark compared with the rest of the image, which is out of focus. Maybe cropping in tighter and then tweaking brightness/contrast would have helped (depending on how many pixels you had to play with, of course)? |

Ant Hillby Delta_6Comment: This was a good idea, but I don't think your camera had the macro/close-up "oomph" to pull off this shot, particularly to display at this resolution. It's difficult to even see the ants against the busy background. You've clearly got an eye for a photo opportunity, though. |

Legend or Not?by indigo997Comment: Hollywood can, indeed, make some things pretty darn global in reach. An original approach and technically spot on and well composed too. Very effective image - great job! |

Bloodcup: Drink of Strength and Spirtby AnachroniteComment: Pretty good composition and sharpness, but the whole image seems a bit dark and flat (at least on my monitor) - would have liked to see this lighter or with a bit more sontrast and a little more saturation. |

A Tricky Treatby alanfreedComment: Good concept and composition - I think the overall image would have greater impact if the apple seemed fresher to contrast with the razor blade, though (although I realise that if you take as many shots as I do this would involve having about a billion "backup" apples on hand). |

Take me to your leader!by jenaromComment: A salutary lesson for those of us who think we don't have the space of equipment to do elaborate shoots for challenges! This is a really great approach to the subject, imaginatively tackled to create a striking shot. Very well done. |

Shaddow Of A Lucky Day by ndsComment: This was one of my 10s this week (admittedly I gave out more than normal). A great "concept" image and very well executed. I'd like to see your setup for this one. |

Become Wrath by greenem2Comment: A simple idea, but executed effectively and with style - the tight cropping of the compostition makes it hard to look away. |

Is it bad or is it gooood!by joannsComment: I like the idea and it's well executed - lighting, focus, composition all good. I did wonder if a different (more vivid) colour background might have added something - the white seems a trifle ascetic for gluttony. But it's an effective shot as it is. |

Meet Miss Ohioby LanSnakeComment: Wow - you have really caught a facial expression that says it all there. A great candid shot. Pity the woman in the blue jacket couldn't be more cooperative in helping out the composition, but I like this a LOT. |
