Bristlyby RolandBComment: The way the face and expression has been captured really makes this photo. A pity the post-processing seems overdone and uneven. |

Crocusesby cmeierComment: Lovely colours Chris - so fresh and so "spring"! Love the lavender/purple against the yellow. The bokey seems quite interesting but I do find it rather too much. I think a tighter crop around the flower in focus might work better or a plain horizontal crop. |

1-2-manyby messerschmittComment: Hi - had to look for this again. When I left a comment during voting, did wonder if this might be yours! :) (I'm getting to know some of my favourite photographers). Glad to see it placed pretty high even if I think it deserves much better. Congrats! |

Not Chicken but Definitely Yellow.by eschelarComment: Read your forum post and your helpful comments on mine - thanks a lot. So here's returning the favour. First of all, I like the composition and the idea. I would also crop out the top tighter to his head so that the overall framing is more of a horizontal rectangular form but that's just me. What really spoilt it for me is the lighting. Tweety looks flat IMO, making him look rather like a cheap plastic or paper piece (sorry!). Since he's your main subject, it really doesn't help. I can't tell what the white outline is but it's very distracting and marrs the main subject even more.
You've chosen a very simple idea which could have been powerful. But the problem with simplicity IMO is that you really got to get it awesomely clean because it's the only thing that will hold the attention of the viewer. Hope that makes sense somehow.
p/s tweety was one of my favourite cartoon characters 'coz he always outsmarted Sylvester. As for him running away, I think it was more a case of smart survival skills rather than being a coward, don't you ... :p Message edited by author 2006-04-10 14:34:15. |

Warped Realityby aznymComment: Unique! Like this a lot. It's refreshingly modern and pretty artistic. One of 2 top picks in this challenge for me even tho it won't be the views of the majority. |
