Day 47by CharleneComment: I come back and back to this photo often. Each time, the emotions of it strike such a cord with me. It's not just about exposure, or selective desat, or colours or composition..........it's about the acquisition of independence, about little people becoming big people, about the bond between the sisters, and the emotions that underpin the phases of our lives. I guess a big part of what makes it for me, is seeing Ashley in tears, at the bottom, and imagining the story that tells, about the slice of your lives that would have happened that day. It's stunning, Charlene.......a favourite. |

Sports Fanby GermaineComment: One of my best indulgences, on a weekend, is to park the car at the waterfront, and just listen to music, read the paper, or just watch people playing on the sand nearby. So, I really can understand his needing some downtime, to read the paper like this. |

Day 10 - Excitementby KenComment: Very dramatic......a real snippet, of life and photography, and how they interact. Very eye catching photograph, so well taken and processed. Good one, Ken. |

Day 09 - Danceby KenComment: To me, what makes it, is that she seems so oblivious to the parents and photographers behind her, and the world around her. I have a very similar shot, of my daughter, in front of a bendy mirror, which I must post too. |

Day 9 - The Dreamerby wickee_oneComment: This is superb. The lighting, colours, composition. The whole photo has a dreamy misty mood. I love that the shadow behind her shows up her eye, in contrast. Did you use a diffuse glow action, or is that all just the narrow depth of field? |
