Natural Redheadsby L1Comment: I like the arrangement of the subjects, but I don't like the yellow-y tungsten white balance. I think that having so many reflections in the bottle is distracting, and the use of ceiling lighting doesn't provide the most flattering angle of light on the subjects. The centered composition works great for the subject, but I don't think this has the attention to detail that I've seen in some of the other images in the challenge. |

In The Beginningby sjhulsComment: I wish the light wasn't so direct. It looks like on-camera flash to me. I think the grapes and the leaves could have benefited from more directional lighting. |

A Fine Bouquetby DanaSComment: My only nit-pick is that I wish you had showed the front label on the wine bottle instead of the back. The back one probably isn't as pretty. Cool idea. I love that you put wine in the vase. |

Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Oftenby ciaeagleComment: Certo.
The lighting leaves me wanting something, but I can't decide if I want it a bit moodier or a bit Jill-Greenberg-esque. I think a pair of laughing people would have gone so nicely with the sign. |

Contents under pressureby sinistral_leoComment: Wow! Quite a capture! Either you shot in burst mode or you have an enviously precise shutter finger : ) The detail of the cork hitting the glass is awesome. Did the glass survive? |

a light snackby BrennanOBComment: Nice set-up, but I think you tried to pull out too much texture, especially in the glass. It makes the glasses and the bottles look dirty. I love that the marble is broken--unexpected throw-back to ancient Greece, which is what still lifes with wine always make me think of : )
On an unrelated note, I'm guessing this was taken by an American because of the color of that cheese. Cheddar with wine makes me want to cry : ) |

Morning Afterby AmmieComment: I love the story that the title adds to this. The colors and the background also add a lovely country atmosphere that I really enjoy. Great use of negative space too. |
