The Palaceby sfaliceComment: More recovery of the highlights would have helped too, if possible and if your converter allows for it, given it was shot in raw. Or just underexponsing a bit and lift shadows up in postprocessing. And further straightening. Message edited by author 2011-11-04 09:23:10. |

Waitingby bjoernComment: On this one, I would have cranked up the ISO so to get more DOF. Neatimage, noiseninja, topaz and the like are quite good at preserving detail in postprocessing while removing noise, and downsizing for submission will anyway produce a sharper picture than full size. Also, maybe an half stop underexposure, maybe more, could have been restored easily in postprocessing while granting you bit faster shutter speed or narrower aperture. |

Simple Symmetryby hicksComment: Possibly, a lower angle would have worked better (sneakily, maybe even arranging the leaves in a symmetrical pattern or path, given the bridge seems to end on a bunch of leaves). I find fascinating that the bridge seems to lead, well, nowhere. Chromatically, maybe it would work better with a less pronounced green dominant. |

l\ Parallax /lby GarryComment: I like this. I remember a friend putting a piece of, uhh, masking tape were the water sprouts from, to divert the water so to make a similar shot more symmetrical :) |

St. Francisby APComment: This would have worked well in HDR I think. |

The Casual Observerby MarfunComment: Very underscored. For what is worth, I didn't really think this was staged. Perhaps the postprocessing is a tadtoo strong, but nothing that disturbing. I found it a pretty interesting image actually. |
