Very Successfulby bhanubhanuComment: What a sweet face! What a sense of timing! What a great eye!
Sadly, however, good photography is more about technique than content. (I should know. Just check out my scores,...although I do take some comfort in the fact that somebody has to make the "basement" until "dues are paid.")
Having said all that & applying what I have learned so far,...the over-all soft focus of this photo detracts from its otherwise pleasant ambiance.
This is the balance sheet for photographing one's own child, especially an infant. You don't want to use flash & hurt the baby's eyes. You don't always have time to set-up a tripod. (Monopods are helpful, but only if you keep the camera attached.) Hand-held camera-shake in low light is inevitable. Yet, when my little girl is in a playful mood, I will grab the camera & go to shooting one after another as fast as the shutter will open, even past the point where my arms start to burn.
Personal Rule of Thumb: "You can't take too many digital photos!" (Or "You have to break a lot of eggs to make an omelette.") :) |

Frog Hunterby Pug-HComment: Depending on one's Point of View, this photo could go for either success or failure. Honestly, this incident seems to have "ruined the frog's day." ;) |
