Great concept! However, the "punch" of the photo may have been better with fewer items in a supporting role. They appear to be doing what Kathy Najimy did in Sister Act, they are acting as a "Scene-Stealer." Of course, narrowing the DOF could also give subjective contrast sufficient to place them back into the true supportive role. Still as is this photo garners a 9 from me.

DOF somewhat hindered this photo! I believe it would be striking for the foot & the "eye" to be in sharp focus. Knowing my own challenges with DOF & focus in lighting other than sunlight, I can't imagine you would be able to accomplish my suggestions without the use of a tripod. In this low light a four second exposure might be necessary to push the aperture to F/8 or F/11. Anyhow, my greatest experience with hyperfocal distance is at F/22 in bright sunlight. My ideas here a based purely on logic...So, please take them for what they are worth. (Since the challenge is Heat, the concensus may be that you hit the mark accurately. You have certainly demonstrated a wonderful ability to "hot-foot it!" :)
