My Dad, Six Feet Underby rkligmanComment: I didn't understand the connection to the challenge at first. Then I saw that it looks like the grave was recent, and I'm thinking that's how it meets the challenge. |

Departure Terminalby RikkiComment: The main roof/light shapes that you wanted to highlight are balanced. But other lines don't seem straight, and with a picture where lines are so important, it bothers me some. A tighter crop at the top would have eliminated the angled lines there. I am not sure what at all you could have done about the 5 structure. And it is needed to show context; if you'd cropped it out, just showing the roof/lights, it might have been really confusing. Maybe this is where you need a certain lens to correct distortion? (I have really NO experience or knowledge here at all.) And I think I read there's something you can do about that in post processing but that it was illegal (if I remember correctly). So, in using what you had, I would say that this shot is a success. It gives me an impressive sense of scale and wonder - as a cathedral is to religious observers, this place is to travelers. You captured that very well, partly by having people in the shot to convey the height of the roof. I also love the lighting - there is good contrast, and I find the patterns of light on the floor interesting. |

stripesby crayonComment: This doesn't really address how you met the challenge or not - I'm just going on the basis of the picture by itself.
I think I would have prefered to see more than one zebra head - since there are obviously several bodies there, it looks like the single head is kind of sticking up out of place... but I do know that's how zebra shots kind of work. I like the top part, as it gives an environment for the zebras that is natural - it's neat to see no bars or fences in this shot. I agree that the levels or contrast could have been adjusted. |

Industrial Residentialby Art RoflmaoComment: My first impression is that they're leaning and in danger of falling over. With that said, though, I love the buildings. They are definitely very interesting to look at. You also have a great color blue in the sky - mine always seem to come out all white - and I like how it changes to white at the bottom. I like the space between the buildings, and how they are very similar but different in height and the larger band that the one on the right has. |

aidan-and-manatee.jpgby timfythetooComment: The addition of the border, and I think the sandy looking bottom, helps add a bit of distinguishment to a snapshot, and I really feel like this works. I love the bubbles from the manatee, and the fish seems to have this sort of O.O look on his face. Kinda wish the pole hadn't been there on the right. But it would be weird to crop it off, and leave a reflection on the manatee without anything in the shot that's creating it. |

Crabby JRalstonComment: Eeee. Hehe. Crabs kinda freak me out. This is a great picture. It's so tiny! It is really awesome to see a small animal like this up close. |
