| 03/24/2008 07:04:00 AM | Downtown Pollutionby CharleneComment: the shiny chrome here is so good; the distortion, griminess, implicit (streaks on the bumper) and explicit (exhaust pipe) pollution. the tones are rich and deep, that sky is lovely, and the image makes one think as well. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/24/2008 07:03:31 AM | a poverty of airby skewsmeComment: as an ex-cycle courier, this image really resonates. the darkness, while criticised by many, epitomises the grimy reality of urban cycling, as does the face mask. i love the zooming composition, the texture of the wall, and the touch of red in the reflector. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/24/2008 07:02:34 AM | extreme heatby laurie241Comment: beautiful colours, wonderful abstraction, just enough information to let us know the subject. the composition is fab, in fact the whole is that wonderful combination of surface beauty and brains that we see so seldom. a very satisfying work. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 03/24/2008 05:33:16 AM | Prostitutionby raishComment: a great take on the challenge, nicely oobie, as we expect from you. i am also unsure about the red frame, and think it might work better in b/w - the colour is a little distracting. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 03/23/2008 10:27:14 AM | York station 3by MelethiaComment: ooo, i love york. when i was a courier, i went a busman's holiday, and cycled around yorkshire. a friend joined me for the first couple of days, starting in york. it was a bit of a disaster at the start. he never showed up at the station in london, so i went on ahead, leaving notes at both the london and york stations. then, i discovered that the hostel was completely full in york, so i ended up sleeping rough in a field - me and my bike wrapped in a towel and orange tarp, knapsack as a pillow (after going on the ghost tour - oooo, spooky). the next morning, after not very much sleep, i went and bought yoghurt and fruit and ate breakfast on dick turpin's grave, and went and had a shower at the local pool. then i sightsaw (?) until my friend's train arrived, oging to the minster, betty's and as many places as i could. i'd love to go back again, maybe with a bit more money.
a super series of pics, deb. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
