This is very striking, but I wish there were more facial features in focus...the eyes are the most important feature and should always have the sharpest focus. I would try this again and ensure the eyes are in focus and then try and use a small aperature to get the pores into focus. Perhaps you should use a longer lens to give you a larger DOF? Great concept and great attempt.

Looks to be a little out of focus. OR is that motion blur...I can't tell. A sharper subject would have made this better.
