The Calm in the Chaosby trobergeComment: Here is a perfect use of bokeh! without the tree trunk on the left, this shot would not be nearly as interesting, in terms of composition. Very nice setup you have here - I'd love to see a series of these - closer, slightly angled, etc., as in a progression from far to near. Very cool bokeh!! |

Where the antelopes roamby inspir8tionComment: great shot, not sure the BG has a lot that "adds interest" to the antelope. It is a great shot, but the bokeh seems necessary for the portrait rather than adding interest. |

Taking the High Roadby TechoComment: beautiful shot! I see this little ladybug walking along, minding his own business, when another ladybug starts traveling up the other branch (running parallel) and it becomes like a race. Awesome use of the bokeh to introduce ideas beyond the subject!!! |

Juvenile Summer Tanager?by amjltComment: I think it's a male (young) rose-breasted grosbeak actually, but I could be wrong! great capture!!! The bokeh - background is almost too skewed to add to the shot - it seems kaleidoscope-ish, psychadelic, and kind of detracts from the bird/wire subject. Perhaps a closer crop would eliminate that distraction? |

Budding Hydrangeaby admart01Comment: nice shot you have here, beautiful shades captured. blurry macro background isn't so much adding interest to as focusing you to the foreground. still, a beautiful shot! |

Purple Fadesby brokechic8Comment: beautiful use of color and macro! I think the white out-of-focus thing on the bottom right corner detracts from the image a little, distracting but not really focused enough to make me interested in what it might be. Beautiful shot!! |

Itsy Bitsy Spiderby helloiloveyouuComment: great concept, the bokeh would really work even better if the BG weren't so busy. there's a lot going on back there - trees, clothesline, fence, tin roof, blue flowers? maybe a slightly different angle could get rid of some of that extraneous stuff, great idea for bokeh! |

Fence Sittingby Dim7Comment: I love it! little swallow - so cute!! That one tall piece of grass in the center - the kind we used to chew on as kids - really adds that winning touch to this photograph, love the BG, wouldn't change a thing! First 10 I've ever given! |
