Sunset treeby birkinComment: you got the colors, silhouette, and tree. Great. It's nice when these are the critical comments: if you were a foot to the right, the tree be centered in the rectangle and there just seems to a little too much space on the right side of the pic. 8 |

Poor Twisted Meby hopperComment: Like: colors of sky and grees. really like your subject 'tree'
Don't like: the processing for final product. I can see haloing around the tree. I don't think the darkening corners is necessary.
6 - but I think it has great much greater potential |

Hayfield treeby snafflesComment: my first impression was: over-sharpened. you can see along the horizon and edges of the leaves. the colors of the sky look more gloomy, than a neat ominous color. 5. |

Since the dawn of time...by animalComment: Unfortunately, the first thing I see is the flare in the tree. The sun is overpowering to make a pleasing image. Yes the challenge is met but two big detracting things. 4. |

Mighty Oakby SunnieeComment: the darkness on the top left throws the balance of the sky off. for me that's the only detracting thing. nice comp, use of b&w. 6 |

Arboric Explosionby bvoiComment: Interesting and original for the challenge. I'm not a fan of the sky, but I really like the tree, especially the limbs/bark/trunk. On balance a 6 for me. |

Death of an Innocent Witnessby C_Steve_GComment: For me, the highlights are too 'high'. Interesting composition and choice of subject. Overall it's a 5 because of two major distracting elements: the twigs going everywhere and the highlights. |

Fading Lightby Faye PekasComment: Good but not great. Hope i'm not being cynical but it seems you might have used b&w because the color version was flat. Nice composition. No way is it a 5, nor is a 7 for me, so: 6 |

Heart of Oakby SteveDunsterComment: It's intersting but busy. I don't like the DOF. Actually I really can't tell where your sharpest point is. The texture of the bark adds. 6 |
