Excellent work. Lines are very strong and the shadows and lighting add the drama to this. There really isn't much you could do to improve this photo with the exception of editing out the light glare at the top of the arch. That really is the only distracting factor in the entire photo.

Very pretty colors with a nice texture to it. Definately fits the challenge. Nice use of limited dof.
I think all it needs is just a slight more sharpening to bring the textures out even more. Overall it is a very pleasing image.

portrait5.jpgby RefractedComment: The tones you have here are incredible and grab at your attention. However there is something slightly lacking overall. I think it is the cropping out of the shoulder that I find taking away from it or it could be a softness around the eyes. Overall it is very good just has room for some minor improvements. |

Congrats on the second place ribbon. You captured this at such a dramatic moment. The sky simply adds to it. There really isn't much you could to do improve it except possibly removing the white part of the building that sneaks in on the right side of the photo.
