I've not seen the film, but, going on the title, this is a good representation of a war-like image, so it meets the challenge.

However, the photo itself is very washed out. I think I would prefer the slightly darker and fuller colours that you'd get by evening out the levels. You have got an unfortunate distracting flare at the top, too. Whether that is copying the film I don't know, so I have to mark it down a bit.
