7-7.jpgby ltlmschrisssComment: Black and white was a good choice for this fill-the-frame composition. I like the diagonal lines. Almost an abstract. |

Day Sixby Bear_MusicComment: I like how your lighting plays up the hairy edges of the leaves. I would like to see more details in the yellow petals. |

Day 6: Drooping Flowersby skasubaComment: The DOF is good and the colors are striking. I would like to see more negative space around the flowers, mainly at the bottom. |

Day 7 - Phalaenopsis Orchidby ephlnComment: You did a very nice job with composing this shot. The softness and lighting are lovely.
I enjoyed your story - sounds like something I would do, and of course, this would embarrass my husband. |

Day 6by superdaveComment: Interesting textures on these, but I think the background competes too much with it. Maybe cropped a bit too tight above and not enough on the right. |

Day 6 Violaby stargazer05766Comment: Lovely old-fashioned flower. Colors really pop. I think the crop is a bit too tight, I would like to see more background all the way around the flower. |

Day 6 - Cottage Gardenby PrismComment: I love how there are flowers everywhere you look. I would like to see this scene in better lighting - early morning or late evening. |

The Last Roseby NikonJebComment: I actually think the soft focus and the dark color tones work well here to set the mood. Don't worry about the DNMC, bc as you know, most people only look at a photo for a few seconds when voting in a challenge.
As far as the composition...it bothers me a little that the top rose (what's left of it) is directly above the main subject. I would prefer it to be slightly off to the left, and then you could crop the photo so that both roses were on the thirds. |

Poised for Flightby ElaineComment: I love the details in this. Beautiful! I wonder how this would look if you cropped just above where the seeds all attach at the base and a little off the left. |

Hypericum6.jpgby motherleeComment: The swellings on the end of the stamens that Anne talked about are actually anthers, where the pollen is made.
Kind of crazy...all those stamens and only 1 pistil in the middle. This array makes for an interesting photo. |
