Great shot. Composition and lighting are wonderful, but even more is the juxtaposition. The arches are so flippin' iconic ... but there's something about this picture that makes it NOT about McDonalds at all.

I'm not usually a big fan of the "selective desat" but it works quite nicely here. I think the angle is perfect ... any more and they would be "falling" and any less and I think it would lose interest.

I like both of these pics, but I think I like this one better. I went back and forth a lot trying to figure out the rationale behind the "gut reaction" ... and to understand better my own composition biases. I think it's the vertical orientation that may detract a bit from the other.

In any case, this one is awesome - great patterns, wonderful use of the line on the left to balance (as noted before) and great moment w/ the arm extended.

I'm curious ... did you try any different crop on the other?
