two of twoby instepsComment: Again, I am distracted by the clashing color of the tiles. I think if the tiles were desaturated, the black floor leading up the stairs would have a greater impact. |

one of twoby instepsComment: Bingo! You nailed it. This says so much about the woman wearing these shoes. Great self confidence both in the color of the shoes and the stride. And the graphics of this photo are dynamite. |

Mar 04 - Purple weedby hajekaComment: Love the DOF, and the beautiful bokeh. I would never guess the background is bricks, it has the look of a cloudy sky. |

P3023714 - SOOC comparison 1000pxlsby rozComment: Kate looks great surrounded by the green grass. Very nice capture I know your own b&w editing would do a better job than this in-camera conversion. |

from the hipby instepsComment: I feel there is too much red. Three subjects with clashing colors. What is the primary subject? What story are you telling? My eye goes to the bag, then to the other red objects, and the photo remains unresolved. If the bag is the focal point, I think the impact would be greater if the fire engine and jacket were desaturated. |

cover imageby instepsComment: Love the contrast, and the red wall is super strong. The border really becomes part of the image as it highlights the black and red theme. |

Angry Birdby jomariComment: I see the angry bird, and I like the abstract nature of the image. The composition/balance, the geometry, and the colors are all very appealing. I wasn̢۪t quite sure if the triangle bit in the bottom right corner was good, but then I noticed it balances the triangle in the upper left corner. Message edited by author 2019-03-01 16:11:07. |

mollyby rozComment: I think the DOF is purr-fect (the sharp eyes and face, and the blurred hind end). And I really like the Gaussian blur on the background, removing the distracting lines of the blinds. Beautiful focus and clear bright eyes. |

Parker-Lake by JulietNNComment: Wow, Juliet, what a story. No wonder I don’t win ribbons — I have never put that much work into a photo. And the payoff — a score in the stratosphere, and a blue ribbon. CONGRATULATIONS! |
