jy 2.JPGby bigalphaComment: I really like this one overall but some things to do different next time or to try to fix in pp is the blured item in the front left foreground is a bit distracting and the crop is a little too tight on the left. I'd like to see more of the head on the stuffed toy. I like the dof and the angle of this shot. |

DPC 18edit.jpgby BrookiedComment: I agree with the other comments and think the edit by Yanko really pulls it out. I also agree on comment in the thread about the tight crop at the top. The reflection on the other two shots look good but this one doesn't work as well because the whole car isn't as visible (probably because of the overall darkness) but the reflection looks like extra wheels in the wrong spots. Yanko's edit brings out a bit more of the car but it still doesn't look as good as the other two shots (in the reflection portion). I think all three shots are great but, I know how it is when I ask for comments. I want approval but, I also want to know what I can do to make it better. Of course I'm no expert myself which is why I love getting comments on what I can do better. |

grandma_comparison.jpgby ChiquiComment: Excellent restoration. I think I might desaturate just a bit to get the blue out of the hair and minimize the blush on the cheeks to keep it from looking like clown make-up. I might also soften the focus just a little but not much.
Looks like some painstaking work went into the restoration so far. Great job!! |

Pattern of the Unknown! ( ...I know it DNMC)by kbhatia1967Comment: Wow I don't know what to think of this one. I opened it because of the title but whether it's DNMC or not this is powerful and leaves me with so many questions. I'd really like to know more about this photo. Was this some sort of trick photo and its just a reflection or something or is it actually a baby in a jar? If so was it aborted because of deformities or a still born? An undeveloped twin? Just so many questions that I'd like to know more about this babies story. Very powerful. I'm not voting in the challenge this time around so I'm not giving it a score. Just wanted to leave the comment. Please email me after the challenge. |

Missing Youby outafocusComment: The idea is outstanding. The execution however needs improvement. This photo is sort of washed in a yellow hue. The black boots should be black even if you intended the yellow hue for a mood affect. A little less crop at the top so that there were more of the hat showing might have helped too. Overall contrast and color are what drags this one down for me. Keep smiling though because no matter what the score on this photo and no matter what anyone else thinks Daddy will love it when he gets home or if you email it to him. |

Relaxing With a Good Bookby aberrationComment: Thats a very good dog to let you do all that and stay long enough for you to get the shot (several times I'm guessing?). Originally I gave it a 7 but, I'm bumping to 9 |

Princess Paw Pawby pupparazzoComment: She's very sweet!! And a lovely expression. Don't know if you used gaussian blur or if its just not quite focused but with the shallow DOF I would like to see more clarity in the visible eye. If the DOF were not as shallow then the lack of clarity in the eye might have been okay for me. 6 |
