When it fallsby NeatComment: Congratulations on another front page image. Interestingly, I am now viewing and commenting on my mobile phone, having voted on my desktop - and it looks even better small. That happens so rarely, but this image really does suit phone viewing! I love the way the lines resemble tree trunks - they may, indeed, be reflectionss, but I don̢۪t think so. In any event there are aspects to this that I missed first time round. |

after the rainby glad2badadComment: I like this one too, but it doesn̢۪t invite me in to the image as much as your entry for Foliage. Message edited by author 2021-11-03 06:19:45. |

Autumn at Loon Island by DJWoodwardComment: Congratulations on the very well deserved Blue Ribbon - it really couldn't have placed anywhere else! Such an exquisitely delicate image. |

when color is goneby jmritzComment: I appreciate the challenge that you have given the viewer with your different take on the topic, but for me, in this instance, the photo doesn't really work. It does speak to me a little of bleakness and impermanence, but the link is tenuous and the sense fleeting. Hmm, now I have written all that, I shall have to raise my vote from 3 to 5. |

Autumn at Loon Island by DJWoodwardComment: My last image, and this is the winner! Wjhat a treat to end voting on :)The single scull in the distance anchors the lake from the rising mist. That said, I think the photo would also work well without its inclusion. 9. |

A fall in the Fallby LevTComment: Wow, what a sight! I am guessing this scene is quite hard to frame, but I do find myself wishing you had included a bit more of the height of the foreground trees. I like the diagonals and triangles in the composition, not so keen on the upper left area of more barren land. |
