Tough Loveby UbersteinyComment: CUTE! :) Glad you blurred out the shorts there with the depth of field or it might have been judged as an x rated shot! *grin* |

Domestic Chain Gangby WeefanComment: Ok, this one had me chuckling! I love your concept and the shot is a great shot! Nice clarity, color and composition, but more than anything, this has a really creative message behind it! I'm scoring lower on the traditional "technically well shot chain shots" this time. We need more "creative shots" in these challenges now rather than just "technically good" with no creativity behind it. Nice shot! 8 from me on this one. Let's push the "creative buttons" now rather than the just "technically good" shots (even though this IS "technically good"!!) :) |

Slain by Chainby phototrapComment: Oooooo.......quite gorey! Really captures a message though. Are you getting many comments about the gore to this shot? Seems like a lot of voters in these challenges don't like "off beat" type of shots. They seem to prefer the "usual" flowers, nice mountain scenery, well done studio work. I've found that with my own experiences in entries and it sure as heck takes away the "creativity", doesn't it? I'm finding that I'm losing my own sense of style and imagery through trying to "please the masses". Unfortunately, I don't live in a "pretty environment" with mountains/desert scenes and the flowers aren't out yet as it's not "blossom season" yet, so I'm finding myself being creative with my messages and it's not going over well with voters. Pretty discouraging. 7 from me for your creativity. Best of wishes. BTW.....I'm scoring lower on those who simply have a "nice chain shot" no matter HOW technically well done it is! I'm tired of the same old types of "good shots". |

No Boundariesby muur88Comment: Nice clarity, color, but I'm thinking the composition might have been improved a bit by focusing a little lower on that railing and perhaps, cropping out more of the "dead space"????? |

Love Chainby TheStickComment: Like the idea behind this shot, but, metal is one of the hardest things to photograph, isn't it? I'm wondering if you worked without a tripod or something to steady the camera as it looks as though perhaps, the camera moved during the exposure and perhaps, a slow shutter speed which caused some of that almost "double exposure" look to it/blurring????? I've ahd that problem, so I think I may be recognizing it???? |

Corrosionby bubeltrubelComment: Lovely highlights and clarity. I'm sure someone will say "oversharpened". *grin*......but, I really like the simplicity to this shot and yet, it has a lot of intricacies at the same time. |

Chain Reactionby colorcarnivalComment: Really nice composition! Chain is clearly defined and I LOVE the darkening effect around the edges of the photo. It frames the shot really nicely and brings attention to the focal points of the chain and flower. Nice meaning too! Love the symbolism to it! |
