Human Newspaperby AllenPComment: I have a different perspective of what true Street Photography is from the truest meaning of the word but, DPC seems to have its own version of it. This one is on the street, well set up and well posed for but, that is the problem...it's POSED for. True SP is not. (not scoring) |

Tribute to Monetby DCrest01Comment: I know that there will be a few fans of this style of editing and there will be those who will say that it's totally overprocessed but, I LOVE IT! Very nicely done! 9 |

Sweet sixteenby edmengComment: Love the softness of focus and the lack of heavy contrasting that we're so used to praising here in DPCland! BEAUTIFUL portrait shot and beautiful young lady! |

freedom of speechby FourPointXComment: This shot really made me stop and stare! I LOVE the statement that this shot is making and that there is a message behind it as opposed to the usual DPC Advertising shot style! It's SO refreshing to see a real photo of realism and making a statement...unposed for....un-set up without lighting set ups and angles and tripods. I figure you took this out a car window??? BRILLIANT!!! If I could give you a 20, I would...but, I can only give you a 10....you have my 10 on this!!!! :) Congrats on a fabulous shot!!!! KUDOS! |

Seeking Santaby colorcarnivalComment: What a beautiful shot, Michelle! I'm surprised that it was as low a score as it was???? What's going on with voters in here lately??? :(
ETA: I guess you had to make a trip down south somewhere! LOL ;) Message edited by author 2011-01-19 12:32:46. |

her profession by OllyDComment: Congrats! I love that this is a soft focus and so lightly contrasted! It suits it perfectly. Too often, we get marked down for pieces that are soft focused and aren't overly contrasted. It's a shame because these types of photos are BEAUTIFUL! Well done. :) |

Destination Unknownby BarbBComment: Great photo...well done...very creative! I'm not seeing the vegetable (if I wasn't looking hard, I'd not have seen the string) and, while I could be wrong of course, I can count for 2 light sources (the daylight and a flash)...I will come back to this one and pass on scoring it for now. :) |

The Nestby gyabanComment: What a shame that this didn't ribbon!!! It SHOULD HAVE!!! I gave it a 10 because I thought it was not only brilliantly creative and well done technically but, it made me smile! Kudos to you for such a comically intriguing shot and BAH HUMBUG to those voters who gave this those 1's, 2's, 3's and 4's!
ETA: The "D" in DPC...apparently doesn't stand for "Deep" LOL Message edited by author 2011-01-10 11:55:00. |
