Jul 01 - Staplerby hajekaComment: Effective zoomblur. That's a good technique for focusing the viewer attention. |

spiral stairs sketchby tomeComment: Looks "pencil sketchy" . Who knows where the good photos will appear, but it's always nice to be ready to shoot when they do. |

before the rainby jmritzComment: The road curve makes a good leading line, and I like the way the big blur along with the road divides this one into quarters. |

Dawn Crowsby jomariComment: Flying birds can take on some strange looking forms when you shoot them at low shutter speeds. The noise is curiously almost like a texture overlay. Good blur.

Swamp Thingby Ja-9Comment: Wow, what a great image of this medium sized gator critter!
Big congrats on your ribbon in the Orange (County) Audubon Society photo contest too.
You really nailed this shot.
It's like the crisp and sharp evil twin to my "Swamp Evil" blur image. Interestingly, we were doing a DPC GTG in Ft Myers when I shot it.

"Quackers"by DeniseComment: Ah, a Military Macaw. There's one just like this here in my home, and his name is Pepper.
You have a beautiful photo of this one. The feather colors are exactly as they appear live, and the bokeh in the BG is sweet, and isolates the feather edge detail nicely.

Bashed Eye Dragonflyby Art RoflmaoComment: I bet this poor critter has a very strange perception of reality if it can still see with the curvy compound eye. Excellent find and shooting. |

T i M B e R by sherpetComment: THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING AND CREATIVE IMAGES HERE ON DPC. I LIKE THAT IT WAS CREATED BY COMING UP WITH AN IDEA, PUTTING THE PIECES IN PLACE, THEN PHOTOGRAPHING IT. IT'S AN ACTUAL SCENE, NOT A COMPUTER CREATION.
THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT LITTLE DETAILS IN THIS, WITH ALL THE COLORED PENCIL TRIMMINGS AND THE TEXTURES IN THE WOOD THAT I COULD STUDY IT FOR A WHILE AND NOT GET TIRED OF SEEING IT.
THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR OUTSTANDING TALENT FOR FINDING SOMETHING GREAT TO SEE IN THE EVERYDAY THINGS AROUND YOU. |
