Young Loveby Darkend_SwordComment: Very nice, couple suggestions though:
Color: Color balance is off, there is a blue hue in the photo that is pulling the contrast to flat.
Croppping: His right arm is cut off. Try also cropping off the shoulders, concentrating on their expressions. |

White Rooksby whiterookComment: I like the concept here. Perhaps a lower angle and a white balance correction would help. Also, put the board against the wall, that way, the shadow pieces would look like they are on the board and look like the black pieces. |
