I like this image better now than I did when I scored it (apparently...according to the voting breakdown.) I agree with macrothing, I bet it would be a good deal more impressive at a bigger size (and maybe a tiny bit more room to run into). Very cool moment you've captured, though.

I always tell people that you really need to smack people in the face with the challenge topic. In this case, though, I think it's almost overkill. Pattern for the sake of pattern with not much else. I agree with Wavelength, it's a bit painful to look at.

This is my favorite image of the challenge. So simple and yet so powerful. Great detail, perfect coloring, interesting lighting and no obvious and garish PS work. Great embodiment of the challenge, too.

I agree...it's in focus, has a variety of colors and seems well-exposed. The issue, I would guess (I didn't vote in this challenge) is that PATTERN didn't smack me in the face like most of the shots in the top 20 did (I didn't look past that). I can see how it could be considered pattern and I don't think that it doesn't meet the challenge...it's just missing that WHOA THERE'S A PATTERN! bit. Cool shot, though.

I was trying to think of an appropriate comment but I see that I already left a comment that was much better than anything I could have come up with today so I approve my previous comment.

(I once caught a small clip of some reality show with a bunch of washed up rock stars who were trying to form a new band or something and Ted Nugent was in it and in the clip I saw, they were having a meeting and arguing over something and he says something like "I said earlier and I agree with myself..." and that made me laugh. )
