splash!by dino1899Comment: WOW! I almost passed this right up as a typical dramatic sunset at sea, but this is just SO much more than that. Not only is the water composed brilliantly, the colors are subtle and dramatic. The sky has calm blues and purples while the water is clearly being hit by some bright sunlight. The birds are a great touch too. Nicely done. |

Desolate Soundby TannisComment: This is an incredibly well composed photograph. The 3 sections with different textures and tones along with the little lone bird in the middle is just fantastic. I wonder if this might do better in silence though? over 2/3 of the photograph is very calm. Either way, very nice. |

Exuberant by elru21Comment: HAH! This is FANTASTIC! Definitely my favorite child shot so far. The distance between her and the bed really makes the shot, and I especially love the bright red of her dress against the subtle whites of the background. You may have wanted to go through and cloned out the halo from sharpening, but this is so fun I didn't even notice it at first. |

My Wild Girlby faeryComment: Fun shot! I like the angle and perspective, but the lighting pulls the viewer away from her face, and this could be good if the background had something important or interesting in it, but it doesn't really. More light on her face might have been ideal. |

Funny Girlby gsalComment: Wonderful! The kids in the background really add to the shot. Great location and lighting too |

Calmnessby robsComment: There are a lot of different elements competing here that don't really allow the photo to emphasize calmness as much as it good. The pattern of the straps around her neck compete with the pattern of the blue ball and the textured brown that she is around. Then there is the shadow in the background and harsh shadows on her arm, all different colors that clash a little bit. She is also wearing a nice diamond earring which doesn't really go with the casualness of her outfit. Many of the problems may have been solved if this had been in black and white though. Still, beautiful model and interesting concept. |

Protecting God\'s Houseby SchmeldontinoComment: WOAH!!!! Lightning at Southwestern?! WHEN?! This is awesome. I have tried on about 3 occasions to catch a lightning shot and failed miserably. |
