I like the reflection of the pieces in the 'black' fields. You did a good job with the composition and the use of black as the bacground color.
I got a few remarks, though: The pieces are slightly out of focus, and the 'thing' behind the last chesspiece works distracting to me, also does the border of the board in the down-right corner. The pieces also got a kind of magenta color cast (is that how you call it in english?), wich I don't like, but that's subjective off course. Regards, Marco.

Nice effect and contrast! My only remark is that the glass isn't very clear at the top. If it weren't for the distracting spots, this image would be a nice '90's design' image.

I like the composition of this photo. It's very well balanced, it has a clear focus and the colors are beautiful and truthfull. The challenge is well met. Only a pity that you 'blew up your cover'. I hope that the shot won't loose any points because of it.
