In Bloomby L1Comment: Nice dramatic lighting of a mundane subject. Don't quite care for the central placement of the open banana. |

Banatomy 101by C-town driverComment: I'm voting on this challenge (as I do all challenges) by first asking myself, does this photo have any appeal outside the boundaries of the challenge. In other words, art comes first. In this case I have to say, "no". The subject does not appeal to me as something I would want to look at again and again. Technically, the lighting is flat, lacking drama and detail. There is nowhere for the eye to rest. |

Lonelyby trying2bstillComment: I don't find this subject very interesting or visually appealing. I realize the title of your photo is "Lonely" but this would have worked better with more bananas filling the container. As it stands there is too much static black negative space. The vertical and curvey lines of the the container don't really break it up because the contrast isn't strong enough. The lighting is very flat and boring. |

A Rotten Place to Hideby dsidwellComment: I like snakes but I'm not finding this shot very compelling. The background is simple and the focus is sharp (on the snake --- the banana is rather fuzzy). I like the motion blur on his tongue. It's just not wowing me. |

The Great Banini by jperez1690Comment: This is a neat idea and obviously well thought out. It seems a bit too cropped at the vertical edges. Because of the rather seemless background the sense of depth that this set-up requires is lost. It looks very two dimensional. |

Yellow, Blue & Blackby TallblokeComment: I like the color and lighting quite a bit. I don't love the centered subject although I'm not sure where else you could place it. |

Banana Canyon, Southern Utahby magnusComment: I like the color and shadow in this abstract. It's perhaps a little fuzzy in the far right or maybe that section could be a bit darker? |

Something to Eat between Classesby tyt2000Comment: This is a nice candid portrait. You've placed the subject in context and the stairs make an interesting background. It could have been cropped a little tighter on the left edge to eliminate at least one of the distracting white spots in the corner. The focus is not as sharp as I like but this could be a camera issue (I have that problem myself). I like it, overall. |

Hellooooooo!!by orussellComment: I wish the banana didn't have eyes drawn on it. I just noticed that now. But The girl's expression is priceless and you really captured the sparkle in her gorgeous dark blue eyes. Her peaches and cream skin tone is very natural looking as well. Lovely. |
