IceScapeby glad2badadComment: This is terrific. I can't imagine why no one felt inclined to comment (I didn't get around to voting in this challenge). I like the way it gradually pulls your eye deeper and deeper into it, starting with the ground, the trees and hills, the low clouds and finally the sky itself. (And who would give this a one?!) |

pairsby tnunComment: Nicely composed and a great candid shot. I like the geometry (the white grid in the building was the very first thing to catch my eye). The colors seem to "bleed" a little bit, and the focus isn't quite what it should be; my temptation would have been to do this in black-and-white. Nice job overall, though. |

The Rowersby figaroComment: Very nice! I like how it reveals itself slowly -- there are a lot of subtle textures other things here. Some voters may have missed that. |

Whiskersby MelethiaComment: Nice sharp focus, and black-and-white was an excellent choice. The cropping seems a little tight on the right; I might have gotten just a bit more of the nose or face to orient the viewer. But it's a minor point. Well done!

Last Breath Of A Winter Nightby h2Comment: Nice perspective and DOF. I like the earthy tones also. Lots of things to look for and pick out of this one. It looks like an early morning shot (am I right?). Not sure what I think of the border, but I say that about most borders. Nice job! Message edited by author 2008-03-08 08:14:51. |

Uh-oh. Pressure's on, pixelpig. To elaborate on my earlier comment, I do like this, but I think the colors are a bit flat. Also it would be good if there were something even faintly recognizable in the image to anchor the eye. It does leave a lot to the imagination which isn't a bad thing. I too can't wait to see what you bring to the challenge. |
