Hot Lathe Chipsby David EyComment: We have a depth of field issue in this shot. It appears that only one of the 'chips' is in good sharp focus. Point and shoot cameras don't usually focus and set aperture correctly for you in a shot like this. This shot needs either manual focus (probably impossible) or aperture priority mode on your camera to allow a greater depth of field in your image. |

wheelsby janfriesComment: I like the subject of your photograph. The light glare near the watch dial is a bit too strong. The photo is a little grainy as well... maybe comes from cropping this segment from a much larger original photograph... |

phi (and the proportions of nature)by magnetic9999Comment: This is a difficult image to comment on... Let me start by saying that it's one of my 4 finalists. I LOVE the raw simplicity of this photo. The contrast is excellent and I just can't say much more about it other than I'm scoring it a 9. |

Magical Curvesby David EyComment: Let me start this comment by saying WOW! The composition and lighting of this photo are fantastic. I spent about 10 minutes looking at this photo. I'm not going to make any negative comments here because I can't think of any. Score: 9 |

Play Ballby CoreyComment: Greetings! Your photo is the last one I am judging because i weeded out all the trash and saved the best ones for last. I don't really know what to say about this photo, but the i like the subject, the composition, the lighting, and the concept for the 'curve'. You get a 10. Cheers! |

KNOCKby karmatComment: These are nice curves but i think a little more contrast somehow would have made a nicer shot. I can't really tell if this is a window or not, but maybe if it was backlit, the contrast would be there :) |

Layer After Layerby langdonComment: I like both of the CD photos in this challenge... Both of them are in my top 10 favorites. This one, however is going to score one point higher than the other one because I like the variation of color more in this photo. You have covered a greater span of the spectrum and this is much more appealing to my eye. Kudos! Score: 9 :) |

Pure Bassby MaverickComment: This photo made my top 20... On closer inspection, I am noticing that the left side of the speaker cavity is out of focus. I know how difficult it is to achieve depth of field on a macro shot. I like the composition of this photo and keep up the good work! Score: 7 |

Nature's Curvesby sulamkComment: This is a very interesting photograph. The only thing that is keeping me from scoring higher is the focus... |

spectorhornby iraeComment: Now I'm casting votes on my top 10... If this is chocolate, I would rather see it running toward me rather than away from me :) The composition here is wonderful and the lighting is very nice as well... Score: 8 |
