Challengewise I'd say the connection is average and that the image is more about the skyline than the lines in the water which is probably why the image got a fair number of low votes.

That out of the way I think the scene is pretty but there is not really one thing for the eye to rest on as the main focal point. The buildings could be interesting but are too far away to carry the image. The reflection is interesting but to me, either not crisp enough to really draw my attention or blurry enough to create a more impressionistic image. Also, some of the areas of the reflection are too bright and appear blown out.

Love the bokeh. The bird's head and a tiny bit of the tail seem a little over exposed. The feathers seem to have good detail on the body. Good catchlight in the eye though the eye seems to be be right in the middle of the photo making the image feel a bit static. Cropping some the negative space from the top may help with the dynamics of the image.

Love the symmetry however the bright bits at the right and left edges are a bit distracting. Cropping to eliminate those I think would help.

I like the silhouette however feel there is too much water in the foreground. Cropping so just a sliver of water is showing at the bottom of the image I think would make it much more appealing.
