deep thoughtsby LafaminitComment: A closer crop would 1) eliminate the horizontal railing a bit, and 2) make this childhood moment stand out. |

Frans readingby nicoledbComment: Putting your subject in their element is a great thing to do but Frans could be giving the impression of reading with his head up just a bit to see more of his face. Great lighting - just a bit bright on the foreground hand. |

Basic Portrait of a Coupleby JB707Comment: very noisy image. their heads should also be closer together with her eyes at his cheek level. if they are sun glasses, they have got to go, as they don't add to any story here.

Good Day!by photoqwestComment: nice to have a cooperative young man :)
stance/pose is great.
the catchlights are bothering me. I don't usually see 2 in each eye. I am wondering how this happened. It is very distracting. |

It`s rainingby Geo_GriffinComment: interesting shot. lovely expression. really like how you have incorporated the reflection. I'd like to see her head turned slightly toward camera so that her nose doesn't cut the cheek line. nice even lighting. nice use of black and white. overall a treasure! |

The Missusby redmoonComment: dark shadow under her chin and on her neck may have been avoided with a reflector (homemade or store bought). there are also other shadows that may have been softened in this way, or with a fill light.
a soft expression is also sometimes more effective with a tighter crop. :) |

Into The Nightby garrywhite2Comment: my feeling is most of the black space on the left is unnecessary. My eye is also drawn more to the candle which makes your prop more the subject of interest than the person's face. |
