taste the airby tvsometimeComment: Enjoyable geometry of matching leg triangles set against concrete diamond pattern - all within the square crop. Nice work with the black/white conversion too. |

Light and Shadows by mefnjComment: I'm enjoying your use of light as well as the composition. The interplay of curves sits well within the square crop. |

touristsby PennyStreetComment: The high contrast shifts this from documentary to art, and the image demonstrates that soft light is not always ideal. |

Price Agreement by clickodakComment: The smile really pulls this together nicely. Good job capturing the moment of hand-off so well. |

shopping for antiquesby mariucaComment: First makes me laugh, then makes me linger. Shallow depth of field really contributes to the implied narrative. Original and fascinating, different from typical marketplace images, worthy of high score. |

Flipping Splashby ZuantnangComment: Great moment of action. I find that the background person and the light on the trees near the top edge pull my eyes irresistibly away from your subject. Perhaps a square crop could eliminate those distractions and make the image stronger. |

Hidden in the forestby the99Comment: Interesting find and quite colorful. However, my first visual impression lumps this with "snapshot" images. Since I like the subject and want to like the image better, I spend some time trying to figure out my reaction. I think the photographic issue is the right half and upper 1/4 of the picture contain very strong high contrast areas of white sky and dark branches and underbrush that the eye cannot resist. This feels like too much competition with the main subject. Perhaps a square crop removing most of the sky would still include enough of the environment while putting emphasis on the main subject. |

Clearwater Revivalby hahn23Comment: Those colorful fins and the diagonal composition help elevate the image beyond ordinary documentary photography. |
