Mummifiedby moonwellComment: Fantastic with the eyes. Great light, great angle to present them at, and a great idea with the white mummy strips to really set them off as well. A couple of nitpicky things. The top white strip actually leads my eye right to some eyebrow hair that wants to come poking out. Also the bottom crop cuts it just a bit close to the bottom lid. I am sure there were some compelling reasons to crop it that way, so both of those are pretty minimal and don't really impact my score at all, but I always love getting other sets of eyes comments on my shots so figure I will try to do what I always hope for in comments. |

intensityby amjltComment: I like the way the high key lighting mixes with the intense eyes to really hook the viewer. The intensity in the eyes is just very well done. I am sure you will get lots of comments about the hair being in the eye. For some that will be a welcome thing, and for some it will be a detractor. For me it takes away from the eye, but not enough to mess up a good shot. The only other area that I want to briefly touch on is the bottom right which looks to have some fairly serious JPG artifacts going on. Specifically it looks pretty noisy. My best guess is this is just a bi-product of the post processing. Basic editing and full adjustments rather than selective will sometimes do that. I love the idea and creativity and thank you for entering a very nice shot! |

Eclipseby ChinarosepetalComment: Wow, that is really all there is for me on this one. I will undoubtedly be back to see how this one was done. Macro is all that is coming to mind because I don't see any noise artifacts I would expect with a multiple enlargement. Ok, back to the shot. Great color obviously, and well controlled light. I would have liked to see more of the top of the yellow, but no reason to quibble on such a nice shot. Great job. |

You have my Attention!by stargazer05766Comment: You have to love those eyes. Great job with focus and also keeping good distance from the dog to keep long snout from becoming largely distorted in the frame. I like the nice and even lighting in what appears to be a dark indoor scene otherwise. My only concern is the framing/composition. The crop in the middle of the ears can feel a bit uncomfortable, and I think if the dogs face were centered a bit more it would really take this shot to a different level. That being said it is difficult to get any dog let alone a big dog to cooperate so great shot and one I am sure you will enjoy for years to come. |

Raw Emotionby LMA128Comment: I love the way you framed this up. Focus is spot on, and you captured the emotion very well. Great use of light in a very difficult area with basic editing. You are to be commended great shot. |

Windows to the soulby rapidComment: Wow, very nice pop in the eyes with the lighting. The overall lighting looks uneven on the face and that is probably my biggest concern, but I think you did a very nice job of trying to light up those eyes. |

untiledby nycpawnpusherComment: Great catch lights in the eyes and focus is spot on. I might have liked the composition more with less negative space on the left side, but still is a very nice shot and think you did a great job with the shot. |

Wicket-01.jpgby jan_vdwComment: Fantastic timing on this one. I really like how close to the action you were able to get on this one. Best cricket shot I have seen in quite some time! We don't get nearly enough of these on this side of the pond. :) |

DSCF7684.jpgby jan_vdwComment: As promised here to make some comments! I really like this one auto shooting is a task I do not envy you as the speed, and action can be really difficult to shoot. The only thing I have on this one would be to crop up to eliminate the yellow barrier in the foreground. A great capture! Well done! |
