Arrested Development. On The Edge of Punk.by Evil_MunkyComment: Awesome shot, I love it. Lighting is well done, composition excellent, follows the challenge perfectly. This also looks more deeply into the challenge, and has a very artistic element to it. You really managed to create a clear line through the girl. Well done, very well done! Very creative. 10 |

Layersby SkamalComment: This shot screams black and white too me! The colors only distract from the illusion of the shot. B&W would emphasize what you are trying to demonstrate in the photo! A nice composition nonethless, it fits the challenge, and fulfills one large requirement of photography very well - make the viewer look at something in a different way then normal! Well done! Love to see this in B&W after the challenge is over. Nonetheless 8 from me! |

Death After Life or Life After Death ?by Charles PhilipComment: very cool concept, and very well done. Excellent use of contrast to symolize your idea here. Well taken photo's as well, especially the dark one, that's a hard shot too do, and you did it very admirably! I hope this is legal! Well done, 9 from me! |

The inner Canyons are the deepestby Harz_JoergComment: Very very good. Excellent use of light and environment to set the mood of the picture. I might have even used a slightly wider crop. I have feeling this one is going to get bashed by voters, as most artistically inclined photos do. Like to see it with a tad bit more contrast, but can't say for sure, you might have gotten right on that line of perfection. Iffy on the border, it seems too sleek for a shot of this power and raw emotion, perhaps after play around with an artistic border, or something. I'll definetly look you up after the challenge is over. 10 from me no problem! AWESOME! |

Ride My Bikeby gstrotmannComment: Very nice shot! I love the composition, and it definetly applies to the challenge. Maybe a bit more concentration on the bike would've helped a bit thoguh, my attention is drawn to the bridge at the moment. I would like to see this in black and white, or sepia! Nicely done nonetheless! 8 |

"A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swiftby MiahComment: This shot IMO, deserved a much higher score then it got! People always mark down a little too heavily for not completely fitting the challenge, or if it requires them to strectch their artistic minds a little. This is a fantastic candid, and a great black and white. The shadows may be a little distracting, but that's life! Nice shot! |

The odd one outby tomlewis1980Comment: Very very nice shot, I tried to do a shot similar to this with wine glasses for the shapes challenge, but ended up with something very different. I never even thought about using martini glasses, well done. Looks like you got some glare or reflection on three of the glasses though, you might have had to push your lighting source further under the table (if that's how you lit it, and if not how did you light it?). If you wanted to add some color to the shot you could have done so using the hue/saturation adjustments in PS, that's how I did it in my Shapes entry. Very nice nontheless 9!
I just took another look at your shot, and realized that I didn't read the title. HAHA ignore what I said about the reflections/glare lol. Nice shot again! Message edited by author 2003-12-17 00:31:38. |

Monopolyby marboComment: Very nice, love the tone of the image... the lighting does seem just a tad bit harsh here, and creates a lot of shadow. Did you try using diffused light? Or light reflected off a white background. Otherwise it's a fantastic shot, composition is very creative and very appealing as a whole! Congrats... 8 |
