(June 6th) Resting Spotby
WickedSoundComment by roz: if its a 3 hours drive from your home it would still be where you live to me seeing i live on the other side of the world .. its all relative i reckon ..
& its a great shot .. altho teasing .. i can just see a magnificent vista thru the trees .. i bet your friend can see more .. !! . it looks like a beautiful day with that gorgeous blue sky and fluffy clouds ..
i usually shoot in manual but have my white balance set on auto and often between one shot and the next, without any change at all .. like the sun going behind a cloud for eg .. there can be a change in the colouring of the shot ... which is the white balance .. i'm not sure how to rectify that sort'v thing .. i think a very slight movement so that you're focused on a tree rather than a leaf can make the camera think it has to change the white balance setting .. sometimes if its sunny i'll change the white balance .. but then i'll walk into a shaded spot and have to change it again .. that's why i usually leave it on auto ..
its not that hard to change the colouring to your liking in a software program later ..
if you shoot in raw then its as easy as ..
if you're shooting jpeg then maybe using levels, curves or color balance ..
but i love the colouring of this shot ..
re the haze .. i think if its there in real life then its gonna come out in your photo .. you could go for a bit of brightness and contrast or levels or curves to make it less noticeable .. but that's just from the top of my head .. haze isnt usually a problem i encounter much .. so i dont really know ..
i'm sure other ppl will have better advice .. :)
