I'm not sure what about this is puzzling, maybe I just don't get it... I love how soft he looks though, I would want to cuddle with him (her?) if I didn't know s/he had sharp teeth in there too.

Could be puzzling I guess. Nice monkey and good pose but the blur from the fence where the lens was is a bit disturbing.

Yosef, since I got your only comment the least I could do is comment on your entry that got no comments. I think you had a very creative view on this challenge. This is pretty easily recognizable, but just abstract enough to look like a close-up of an eye. The grill appears to be a little bit crooked, along with the writing on the bottom, but just a bit. It may have been better either not clipped at all or clipped more drastically on all four sides. It looks like noise on the rim, but I think it's just the texture of the rim. I like your lighting and keeping the background black. You've only been in two challenges so far, but based on your photographer's comments it looks like you have a good grasp on editing skills. Don't let the two poor scores get to you. Keep entering.

Good idea, but the image is a bit dim, and is a little boring, imo, 6.

its an egg..... composition is non-existent. detail is merely what is in the surface of the egg. Nothing surrounding to make this interesting except a black background. Great for a product shot where the backdrop is expected to be removed.

too much egg, not enough background, somehow it loses interest.

The obvious subject means to me that you need to come up with a really creative composition to make this work well. Overall I find it rather boring. 4

This is brave - I'll be curious to see how you do! For this simple of a setup, your photography really needs to be perfect. You've lost a little texture and sharpness at the top of the egg.
