I must say this one had me scratching my head. I could not understand how some people could not see the back to school in this one, the stack of books, the traditional little dress, I thought would be more than appropriate but I guess I was wrong.

this is what I think as a shoe horn. neither has anything to do with going back to school. Portrait wise, I would prefer that neither the tail end or the dress be cut off. and, the lighting is a flat. except for the amber highlights on her hair that seem out of place. cute little girl & doggie. it's a 3 for me & please do not let this hurt your feelings. I am trying to leave comments on every image in this challenge. It's only one vote and quite frankly, only my opinion which means really not much. :-)

immediate impression "whats this got to do with back to school?" then I read the title and I think it works real well. I have a scale of pictures and ones that need titles are lower down the order but now I'm thinking perhaps some pictures are better for requiring a title..... thought to be brutally honest in the better category would be "first day at school"
