smile?by yiannis723Comment by Ja-9: not sure if I will get this right or not....but your shot looks to have the saturation/hue taken way down...thus removing the color...in Duotone (and I am no expert by a long shot) I think you convert to B&W then split your tones between 2 tones...thus duotone or split-tone...but they are somewhat equal in tone (I think) |

wanna a ride?.JPGby yiannis723Comment by SaraR: This is good - I like your mono work! The shallow depth of field is right for the image - one of the best in your portfolio. |

human's best friendby yiannis723Comment by SaraR: I agree with Steve regarding the location of the shot - the car wasn't the best of backdrops, and the cut off feet are a bit of a problem. But that aside, you have a pleasing portrait of the dog, with a good tonal range. |

smile?by yiannis723Comment by CassieDoodle: lighting is a bit too specular for my liking, the shadows on the face are distracting. maybe tilt your models face up next time for more light in the eyes. good luck to you :) |

smile?by yiannis723Comment by MaryO: With that light I think I would have asked the model to move such that there were catchlights in the eyes and no hair shadows on the face. |

Hellenic Bankby yiannis723Comment by bvy: I think photographing this in more flattering light (after dawn or just before dusk, shadows permitting) would help a lot. I think you could also get a more impressive angle. |
